First OCSEA Public Safety Assembly is March 16

Posted Jan. 24, 2019 by

In an effort to ramp up union activism and create a forum to share concerns, union activists from the Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) circulated a petition last year to create the first-ever OCSEA Public Safety Assembly.

The first meeting of the ODPS Assembly will take place on Saturday, March 16, beginning at 10 a.m. at OCSEA Headquarters, 390 Worthington Rd., Westerville, Ohio. ALL OCSEA members from ODPS are welcome and encouraged to attend this groundbreaking meeting. Assembly meetings are the perfect mechanism for obtaining and sharing information with union members in your same state agency.

The first order of business for the Assembly will be to elect Assembly officers and discuss the new Assembly’s structure and goals. Any OCSEA member in ODPS in good standing is eligible to run for Assembly office. Those interested in running for office should contact Brian Eastman at beastman@ocsea.org or Anissia Goodwin at agoodwin@ocsea.org.

Please join your fellow ODPS union members in helping set the direction for union activity in this agency. See additional union events at OCSEA.org/calendar.
