Posted Jun. 13, 2016 by

OCSEA’s latest educational benefit is coming to the Montgomery DC, one of the developmental centers slated for closure. Representatives from Eastern Gateway Community College will be onsite Friday, June 17 to talk to members of that chapter about the benefit as well as how to apply for federal aide to go back to college.

OCSEA’s partnership with Eastern Gateway Community College has meant free college for hundreds of members who have gone back to a get a 2-year degree to improve their work lives.

Members must first fill out federal aide applications to determine whether or not they are eligible for federal aide. If they’re not eligible, then the member receives an OCSEA scholarship.

The training/exhibit at MDC is on June 17 beginning at 10 a.m. The event will last three hours.
