Posted May 16, 2017 by

We're excited to announce that three additional speakers have confirmed their attendance at the union’s joint WAC/CMCA Conference coming up June 2-4 at the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio.

Baldemar Velasquez, President of the Farm Labor Organizing Committee for the AFL-CIO, will be the Saturday night dinner speaker. The much beloved Elaine Bernard from the Harvard Trade Union Program will give the Sunday address. Additionally, Garnetta Pender, a Mansfield City Council Member (6th Ward) who championed a "Right to Work is Wrong" resolution, will speak at the event.

Already confirmed are State Representative Brigid Kelly from Ohio House District 31, a current representative of the United Food and Commercial Workers union, and Lee Wong, a Township Trustee from West Chester County, where unionists joined Wong to stop Right to Work in that township.
