The annual OCSEA Women's Action Committee (WAC) Conference is taking place this weekend, May 1-2, 2026, at Deer Creek Lodge and Conference Center in Mount Sterling, Ohio. Attendees will hear from AFSCME-endorsed gubernatortial candidate Dr. Amy Acton via video. She will talk about her experience to lead Ohio. Friday evening events:
- Get Out the Vote training will be held Friday evening starting at 5 p.m. in the Scarlet Oak Room. Pre-registration is required to attend this training.
- Early check-in will run from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. outside the ballroom.
- A reception will be held Friday evening from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. in the Ballroom.
Saturday schedule:
- Check-in starts at 8 a.m. outside the Ballroom
- Breakfast starts at 8:30 a.m. in the Mezzanine
- General session starts promptly at 10 a.m. in the Ballroom.
- Dr. Amy Acton will speak via pre-recorded video in the afternoon general session.
- Hear from other Ohio women leaders including Democratic Party Chair Kathleen Clyde, Mayor Annette Blackwell and Justice Jennifer Brunner.
Commemorative WAC t-shirts will be sold at the conference for $15. Make sure to have cash on hand to purchase a shirt. No credit cards/cash apps will be taken. Shirts will only be available at the conference; no pre-orders.
