Reserve your bus seat for Feb. 24 Day of Action rally

Posted Feb. 2, 2018 by

The Working People's Day of Action will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24 at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus. We will be begin gathering at the Statehouse at 10:30 a.m., with the rally starting at noon. Ohio workers from all walks of life will come together to stand up against attacks that threaten a collective voice on the job.

Join the fight! Buses will be traveling from all over to state. Bus times and locations are now available online! See pickup times and locations and reserve your spot at Day Of Action Website today!

Just like with Senate Bill 5 back in 2011, anti-union Statehouse politicians are at it again! And their main targets are public employees like you!

OCSEA's staging area will be held at the intersection of E. State and S. Lazelle streets (southeast of Statehouse). Buses will be dropping off at that location. Get the Google Maps location HERE. OCSEA members should go there at 10:30 a.m. to sign in, get signs and more.

Just like with the dangerous Senate Bill 5, politicians at the Statehouse are trying to take away collective bargaining rights again and want to make Ohio a Right to Work state. But, instead of legislation this time, they want to put the attacks before Ohio voters with SIX proposed anti-worker ballots initiatives. Nationally, a U.S. Supreme Court case, Janus vs. AFSCME Council 31, would make the entire country Right to Work for public employees if the court sides with anti-union groups like the Koch Brothers, ALEC and the National Right to Work Committee. The Court will hear oral arguments on the case on Feb. 26, two days after the Working People's Day of Action!

Their main goal? To silence union workers, like you, minimize your benefits and make it harder to negotiate for a good wage, health care and safety on the job! But if we stand strong together, we can stop the madness before it even starts!
