Take action on remote work NOW!

If you’ve already taken action on the attack on remote work for State of Ohio employees, thank you. But it’s time to take action again!!! A Conference Committee of representatives from the Ohio House and Ohio Senate is currently considering HB 33 to try to come up with a compromised state budget. It is these conferees who we are asking you to call! Please call them all, even if you have already made one set of calls! See Conference Committee names and contact info listed below.

OCSEA Bargaining Survey: Submit your priorities for 2024 state bargaining

At the end of this year, your elected OCSEA State Contract bargaining team is expected to begin negotiating the next three-year State contract that runs from 2024-2027. That’s why it’s critical that we gather your member feedback NOW about YOUR priorities for your State contract.

Below is a link to an OCSEA State Contract member bargaining survey* that asks what’s most important to YOU. This will help guide the member bargaining team when they face off with management at the bargaining table. This survey is for OCSEA bargaining unit members under the State of Ohio contract only!* Please share with other OCSEA union co-workers.

Take the Bargaining Survey!

Disclaimer: If you are receiving this email at a State of Ohio work email address, please note that your State email is on file with the union per your request. We highly recommend that you update your personal email address with OCSEA as soon as possible. Bargaining 2024 updates will ONLY be sent to personal email addresses, not State of Ohio emails. Update your personal email HERE or log on to your MyOCSEA account to view your profile. Haven't created your MyOCSEA account yet? Create one HERE.

* This bargaining survey is for State of Ohio Bargaining Unit members who fall under the State Contract ONLY. This does not include OCSEA members in the Auditors, Treasurers or Attorney Generals offices.

Almost every union in Ohio opposes Issue 1 on August 8 and here's why:

  • For more than 110 years, Ohio voters have had the freedom to put Constitutional amendments directly on the ballot with a simple majority.
  • Ohio unions support preserving this sacred principle of one person one vote. Issue 1 is undemocratic, plain and simple! It gives the majority of Ohio voters—40 percent—the ability to block the majority. That’s unfair.
  • Issue 1 undermines the progress unions are working toward, like spurring bipartisan policy for job creation and economic development that helps working families. With so much opportunity in front of us, we believe Issue 1 is unnecessary and divisive. We must push for MORE collaboration and LESS conflict.
  • About a decade ago, extreme politicians in Columbus tried to take away our collective bargaining rights with Senate Bill 5. We defeated them at the ballot box and showed that Ohioans stood for union rights!
  • This year marks 40 years of collective bargaining rights in Ohio. Union members know all about fighting for what’s right in this state, whether at the bargaining table or the ballot box!
