Bargaining of the state contract will begin next week on Monday, with the
state and OCSEA bargaining teams exchanging the majority of
non-financial contract proposals on Dec. 11 and 12.
But before the team hits the bargaining table on Monday, Dec. 11, leaders will spend that morning saying "thank you" to state employee bargaining unit members at work sites around Columbus. We're calling it State Employee Appreciation Day, and activists will be passing out donuts and leaflets about the vital services state employees provide and
talking about the importance of a fair contract for state workers. If you're downtown on Dec. 11, be on the lookout for a message from your union on the digital billboard at State St. and High St.
Chapters around the state will also be holding additional appreciation events throughout next week.
Be on the look out for events near you as well as social media actions of solidarity. ALL OCSEA members are also encouraged to wear green EVERY Tuesday to show their support for a fair contract.
Sign the Solidarity Pledge and sign up for alerts. (Login required for bargaining updates)
