Help members impacted by Dayton tornadoes

Posted Jun. 17, 2019 by

Can you help your AFSCME brothers and sisters recover from the devastating series of tornadoes that ripped through their homes and community in May? At least 30 AFSCME members, including OCSEA brothers and sisters, lost their homes or suffered major structural damage that makes them uninhabitable. Many more members experienced significant property loss. Help by donating to the AFSCME Fallen Heroes Fund. And a huge shout out to our union members who worked day and night restoring power, water and order amid the chaos caused by these storms.

The International Union created the Fallen Heroes Fund to help our AFSCME family members who have suffered losses due to natural disasters. Although we cannot make up for everything they have lost, we can step in to provide assistance in the immediate aftermath of a disaster when it’s really needed. Being in a union means having each others' backs, and that is what the Fallen Heroes Fund does.
