Jean Fightmaster was an OCSEA warrior and a huge part of the union’s history since the beginning of Ohio’s collective bargaining. Jean passed away in November of 2023 at the age of 83 years old. She had served the union since the 1970’s.
To celebrate Jean’s life and union legacy, OCSEA has created the Jean Fightmaster Leadership Award, which will be awarded at the 36th Biennial Convention in Cleveland in August. The Jean Fightmaster Leadership Award will be given to the OCSEA member who best exemplifies Jean’s leadership, advocacy and dedication to our union.
